Here are a couple of pieces we performed at the Back-to-backs as part of Artsfest 2010:
Never Tell A Lie by Nigel Pocknell
Bouncing Off The Bricks by Robert Warrington
The Big Script Christmas Cracker returns with another great variety of original short drama and poetry by members of Big Script, performed script-in-hand.
This year we are in St Anne’s Church Hall, Park Hill, Moseley B13 8DU.
We start at 4pm and we will be providing refreshments.
We’ve now had confirmation that our venue for Artsfest 2010 will be the Back-to-backs off Hurst Street (See the National Trust site page for location details). We’ll be on at 1pm on Saturday 11th, and the individual short works aim to capture what living in a back-to-back might be like. Like our previous events, these are script-in-hand readings.
The pieces are:
Please come along – admission to the site is free for the Artsfest weekend.
Also, if you can’t manage it on the Saturday, there will be a repeat in the Library Theatre on Sunday at 3.30pm.
As part of the process of catching up with our backlog of video, here’s one of the pieces from last year’s Summer Show at the Custard Factory Theatre.
This is one of the pieces from our show “On The Rocks” at the mac; it was a series of 13 short plays across two nights directed and performed professionally (they are usually script-in-hand). It’s in two parts because of the YouTube 10 minute limit.
I hope to have some more excerpts from the show up in the near future.
Part 2:
… is the title for our two nights of rehearsed readings this summer at the Custard Factory, on the 9th and 10th July. Different works will be read on the two nights and we may (if time permits) have some feedback/discussion sessions on the work. Tickets are £6 for each evening, or £10 for both. Enquiries to tickets@bigscript.co.uk.
We hope to have some of the promotional material for the evenings up here within the next few days.
